ABOUT US
Established in 1984 in Madison, WI, our origins lie in gas distribution. Over time, we have evolved into a diverse enterprise, offering a range of services encompassing oil and gas pipelines, facility management, horizontal directional drilling, overhead and underground electric services, telecommunications, and utility design work. As a privately held entity, it remains under family operation, highlighting its personal approach to business.
In 2011, a group of local Madison investors including Anna Hillebrandt, Heidi De Bruin, and a woman owned investment enterprise purchased InterCon from a publicly traded company. Anna Hillebrandt is InterCon’s current President and sits on its Board of Directors. She has a long personal history with the company and is proud to be part of a women owned and operated business.
