InterCon Construction, Inc. has the ability to offer a full range of construction and maintenance services to the oil and gas pipeline industry. We have the capabilities to provide services from 2” through 42” pipe systems in both cross country and urban areas.

We have the experience and resources to implement complete pipeline construction services; from layout and constructability reviews during the engineering phase to procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning. This includes completing new pipeline construction or take-up and relays in cross-country and urban-type settings. We have the experience with installing pipelines in a variety of soil and environmental conditions, and we pride ourselves on the consistent quality of our workmanship.
We have the capabilities and experience to build full gas compressor stations, town border stations, regulator and meter stations, as well as petroleum product pumping stations, and tank farm manifold systems. Our team self-performs all mechanical work including stainless steel instrumentation tubing, stopple installation, and fabrication. Our crews also self-perform most civil work. Included in our workforce is a network of high-quality subcontractors for structural concrete, electrical, dewatering, sheeting, millwright, structural steel fabrication and installation, and fencing. Our firm serves as the general contractor for the entire installation and provides a single point of responsibility for our customers.

To effectively manage quality control, delivery schedules, and costs, we have invested and developed in-house pipe fabrication capabilities. This includes a 20,000 sq. ft. indoor fabrication facility and approximately five acres of yard space at its Waunakee, Wisconsin location to accommodate the company’s fabrication capabilities. Our fabrication crews have the tools and equipment to fabricate and test pipe up to 42-in. diameter up to 1.00-in thickness. We perform rigorous procedures to test the integrity of our welds, as well as hydrostatically testing our piping and valve assemblies.
As a part of our pipeline expertise, we provide full service hydrostatic testing and drying for pipelines of any length and diameter. Our hydrostatic testing equipment includes all necessary pressure and temperature chart recorders, dead weights, pumps, and tankers.
Where dictated, we perform hydrostatic testing on piping and valve assemblies prior to system installation and full-scale testing. This ability allows us to integrate vital quality control protocols on especially complex installations. As a contractor who has extensive experience in cold weather conditions, we have established procedures for hydrostatic testing in a wide range of temperature conditions and climates.
We have a long history of providing pipeline maintenance work for our customers. From short notice priority one anomaly digs to assisting with pig runs, we are available to assist our customers with all of their pipeline needs.

InterCon construction can provide engineering and design for many aspects of utility infrastructure, including; electric, gas, network, and telecommunications. Utilizing CAD drafting and industry or customer specific standards, InterCon provides designs with a focus on construction safety, plan readability, customer communication, cost savings through constructability reviews, and adherence to standards.
